Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year! HSEA Leader's Message

The Lewis-Palmer School District 38 Home School Enrichment Academy (HSEA) is a program designed to support families of homeschooled students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Children in grades K-5 receive a full array of enrichment activities including Music, Art, PE, Drama, and other exploratory activities. Students in grades 6-12 can choose from several elective offerings in those subjects and more.

The Lewis-Palmer Home School Enrichment Academy is offered at no cost to enrolled families. This is made possible by educational funds received from the state of Colorado. Due to this fact, students enrolling in HSEA are required to attend for the full day and may not be dually enrolled in other programs or schools that also receive state education funds. While HSEA offers homeschooled students a connection to the public school setting, we are not staffed to offer a full array of education services (including special education services).

HSEA Vision

At HSEA we encourage each child to be deeply curious, to explore their passions, and to develop a life-long love of learning. We are committed to providing a positive, safe and stimulating environment where all are valued.

HSEA Mission

Our purpose is to partner with families to provide a safe, friendly environment where homeschooled students receive high-quality enrichment, including: PE, music, drama, and art. We offer hands-on instruction that may be messy, noisy, and always fun. We foster our students’ love for learning, encourage them to explore new and exciting content areas, and create opportunities for positive peer interactions that teach teamwork, creative problem-solving, communication, and kindness.

At the heart of HSEA is a powerful partnership between families, staff, and students - one built on trust, joy, and shared purpose. Our parents are not just supporters; they're collaborators, cheerleaders , and co-creators of the positive environment that makes HSEA feel like home.

Together, we've cultivated a culture where students feel seen, celebrated, and excited to learn. It's this spirit of connection that makes students want to be here - not just for enrichments, but for the joy of belonging.

Whether it's rallying for enrichment programs, donating snacks or simply showing up with a smile, our families help make HSEA a place where happiness thrives and every child feels inspired to grow.
