Palmer Lake Elementary invited the community to put on their boots and best western wear for the annual Barn Dance.
The Barn Dance is an annual night of dinner and dancing and has become one of the Palmer Lake Elementary (PLES) community's most popular events.
Each year before the Barn Dance, PLES P.E. Teacher Bret Mischlich spends a couple weeks teaching students a line dance that they perform at the dance. Besides the choreographed line dance, the night is a lively event filled with laughter and joy as the students shuffle around the dance floor in their cowboy boots and twirl their western skirts.
The Barn Dance is also a fundraiser each year, with proceeds going to different Palmer Lake Elementary programs, trips, and resources. The proceeds from this year's Barn Dance are all going towards new outdoor learning equipment.
