Choice Enrollment, also referred to as Open Enrollment, takes place annually beginning in January for the upcoming school year for students entering kindergarten through 12th grade. This is the process by which in-district and non-resident families may be granted authorization to enroll students in a school other than their assigned neighborhood school.
The Priority Choice Window for the 2026–27 school year is now open and will continue through Feb. 13, 2026.
During this window, many D38 schools are hosting Choice Nights and family tours. We invite you to join us to learn more about the excellent learning opportunities across D38! In addition to these events, know that our schools will always welcome the opportunity to provide a tour to any prospective families.
