Dear Lewis-Palmer High School Families,

Lewis-Palmer High School is excited to be part of the Adopt D38 district wide donation program. This program allows you to specifically designate the recipient of your generous donation. If you choose to “Adopt-A-Teacher”, that teacher will receive 100% of your contribution and your donation is tax-deductible. Teachers will use donations for classroom enhancements such as books, visual aids, manipulatives, and learning games.

Individuals, families, and businesses may choose to adopt a teacher, department, or designate the school to receive their donations. Donations may also be combined to adopt at any level. Sponsor’s identities will be published on the school web page, within the newsletter, and listed within the building. A Certificate of Adoption will also be awarded.

To adopt a teacher, write the teacher’s name on the Adoption Form and donate $165 (the number of days in a school year). To adopt a department, donate $250, and to adopt the school donate $365 (a dollar a day for a year). Lewis-Palmer High School would welcome your inquiry as to how your donation will be used; feel free to contact the teacher you choose or the Department Chair for information.

Research indicates that teachers spend $500 annually out of their personal funds for their classroom supplies. One of the goals of this program is to allow you to offset those expenses. As a community member, I believe it’s important to support the outstanding teachers at Lewis-Palmer High School and I hope you agree. Let's make this school year a memorable one by adopting all LPHS teachers.

Please make an adoption and support the future of the students at LPHS. Adoptions may be made online using a credit card or by check made payable to Lewis-Palmer High School. Check your school’s website for the list of adoptions. Don’t delay, adopt today!
