You're Invited.... Celebrate & Explore our new d38 career and innovation center

Lewis-Palmer School District is pleased to share that the D38 Career & Innovation Center (CIC) is finally open and we're ready to mark the milestone and celebrate new opportunities for our students!

The CIC opened to students for the first time on Aug. 25, less than six months after the project began with a wall-breaking ceremony. Now, we're ready for the community to see this new project and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 3:00–4:30 p.m. Remarks from D38 leaders will kick-off the ceremony at 3:15 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. After the ceremony, attendees can tour the facility on their own, or as part of a student-guided tour. Attendees will also have the chance to win prizes along the tour.

The CIC provides hands-on, work-based learning opportunities that will prepare our students for some of the most in-demand careers. It is now the home of expanded Career and Technical Education (CTE), with classes being offered currently, or in the future in Advanced Manufacturing, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, and the Skilled Trades.

The CIC is also the current, but temporary home of D38 Transition Services, which serves students ages 18–21 and focuses on developing life and vocational skills to help students with special needs prepare for life after high school.

The facility is located at 1200 Synthes Avenue in Monument.
