It's that time of year again! The 2026-2027 school year is just around the corner and we're excited to welcome everyone back for another year of learning, growth, and community. To help ensure a smooth and successful start, please review the important dates and details below.

Important Dates

Check-In Days

Students and parents are welcome!

  • School Information: Get information on dress code, supply lists, bell schedules, student schedules, cell phone policy, Canvas and Infinite Campus access for parents, athletics, yearbook orders, food services, and more.

  • Get involved and Spirit Wear: Stop by the PTO table to get information on how you can help our students and school, purchase spirit wear, and check out the principal advisory and building advisory (BAC) committees.

  • Library: Students can check out their chromebooks, reset passwords (if needed), and 7th graders can pick up their math workbook.

  • Hearing and Vision Screening: all 7th graders and new students, students that did not attend in building last school year, and students on an IEP need to have their hearing and vision tested. If your student wears glasses, please bring them. Students who miss or fail their first screening wil be screened later in the fall. Parents/guardians will be informed if a deficiency is found during the screening process. Questions? Contact nurse Kris Thiessen.

    • Immunizations: Starting this school year, Colorado Law requires students to receive a dose of the Tdap vaccine before their first day of seventh grade. Please bring current immunization records or exemptions.

    • Medication: If your student needs to have medication at school, please print and sign the D38 Permission for Prescription and Non-Prescription Medications form. Only prescription medication requires a physician's signature.

  • School Pictures and IDs: School pictures will be taken during check-in. Make sure your students dress accordingly and bring their best smile. A student ID will be issued at this time as well. You can order student pictures online or by bringing cash on check-in day. Orders after check-in day must be placed online. Use code EVTV7XCNN.

  • Food Truck: 4th Avenue Crepes Food Truck will be in front of LPMS during check-in days on August 3rd and 4th. 15% of sales will be donated to the LPMS PTO! Enjoy some delicious crepes while also supporting LPMS!

8th Grade Check-In: August 3rd, 2026 from 9:00 - 3:00 pm (closed 11:00 - 12:00 pm for lunch)

7th Grade Check-In: August 4th, 2026 from 9:00 - 3:00 pm (closed 11:00 - 12:00 pm for lunch)

PLEASE NOTE: To prevent overcrowding and to ensure a more positive experience, we ask that you keep to the alphabetic times listed below, by LAST name (if you are unable to make your alpha-time slot, please come when you can).

A - E: 9:00 - 10:00 am

F - J: 10:00 - 11:00 am

CLOSED: 11:00 - 12:00 pm

K - O: 12:00 - 1:00 pm

P - S: 1:00 - 2:00 pm

T - Z: 2:00 - 3:00 pm

Makeup Check-In: August 11th, 2026 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm

*School photographers will not be available during Make Up Check-In. Students attending this check-in will take their student photos and receive their student IDs on August 14th during the school day.


First Day of School

7th Grade First Day of School: August 12th, 2026 (Doors open at 7:00 am, school starts at 7:20 am)

To help alleviate some of the first day of school jitters of being in a new school, 7th graders start a day earlier than 8th graders. This day is a way to help 7th graders get oriented with the bulding and their new schedules.

8th Grade First Day of School: August 13th, 2026 (Doors open at 7:00 am, school starts at 7:20 am)


Upcoming Dates

8/14 - Student photos will be taken and student IDs issued during the school day for students that were unable to attend check-in days on 8/3 and 8/4

8/25 - Back to School Open House from 5:00 - 6:30 pm
