Congratulations on making it here! This is where the real PTO volunteer action happens and fun social connections begin!

Below are super fun activities and events hosted or supported by the LPMS PTO. Jump in and help out where you want to by volunteering through a link below! Or, ask another parent/guardian to do it together with you ! Don't worry, we're available to help understand any volunteer job you may be interested in. At PTO everybody learns on the job and its fun, so don't sweat it. We're not about perfection. We're about enhancing and supporting the educational experience at LPMS while having fun. This is a GREAT way for parents/guardians to build connections with each other and with LPMS staff. Kids love hearing their teacher say what a great volunteer their parent/guardian is!

Popcorn Fridays

Every Friday throughout the school year

Our LPMS teachers and staff love freshly made popcorn on Fridays! We make it in the commercial popcorn popper in the staff lounge and prepare hand bags of it for them. This is a fun way to show our support and appreciation .

School Store

Generally 2-3 days per week

Operate the on-site school store between front office and cafeteria selling school supplies, spirit wear and trinkets (no edibles) during lunch periods.

Bus Driver Munchies

Monthly throughout the school year

Once a month PTO volunteers bring munchies (e.g. home baked goods, bagels, donuts, etc.) to the Bus Drivers at the Lewis-Palmer District 38 Transportation Center ("Bus Barn ") to show our appreciation. Honestly, this is a great and welcoming group of people to meet and they love munchies! The Bus Barn is located at 99 Santa Fe Avenue, Monument. (It's so easy for their critical role to be forgotten!)

8th Grade Continuation Dance

This special dance for 8th graders is their last dance of middle school, and PTO volunteers play a big part in making it great. The kids won't all go to the same high school, so this dance makes a memorable 'Good Bye'. This fun dance includes professional DJ, photo booth, raffle/prizes, games, and great munchies.
