My name is Jennifer Mitchell and I have been a member of the Lewis Palmer School District team since 2016, and the Gifted Facilitator at Lewis Palmer Elementary School since 2020. My past educational experiences include elementary classroom teacher, reading interventionist for elementary and middle school, district-level gifted facilitator, instructional specialist for gifted and high achieving students, district assessment coordinator, and Instructional Coach.

I hold a Bachelor's degree from Regis University, as well as a Master's in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Regis University. I am also endorsed in gifted education and have a principal license for Colorado.

As the gifted facilitator at Lewis-Palmer Elementary, my focus is to get to know the gifted students and build partnerships with teachers and families to ensure students grow academically, as well as emotionally and socially. I also provide replacement and enrichment classes for gifted and high achieving students to ensure all students are appropriately challenged.

I spent 10 years facilitating a gifted program for another district and I am passionate about gifted students. In all of my years of education, I believe my time spent with those students was the most meaningful for both the students and myself. I appreciate the relationships I build with students and families as I work with the same students over time.

Outside of school, I love hiking, gardening, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family. I consider myself an "almost" Colorado native and I love being outside in our beautiful forests and mountains.

I am looking forward to another great year with students and families at LPES!
