YMCA Developmental Program 2024-2025

This program is a collaboration between Lewis Palmer Middle School and the Tri-Lakes YMCA in Monument. The sports offered to our students are Volleyball, Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball. Students will learn teamwork and basketball skills & techniques in a less competitive and fun environment.

Girls Volleyball:

LPMS does hold tryouts for our competitive volleyball team. Unfortunately, not everybody can or wants to make the competitive school team. That is where this program fills in the gaps. If you haven't already registered your child for tryouts, please use the link below to register her. The registration also includes her in the YMCA Development Program, if she is interested. This program does cost TBD and a physical is required to participate.

The program starts TBD. Practices are TBD at the YMCA. Games are TBD at LPMS. Parent pick up is required from the YMCA on TBD. Please see the link below for Dates and Times.

Transportation to the YMCA is provided by LPMS on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please complete the Permission Slip for your child to ride the bus to the YMCA. Please email or send a copy into to the office by TBD. See the link below for the form.

How transportation works for your daughter at school:

She will be called down to the office to let the Athletics Secretary know if she wants to attend practice that day or not. I send the information to our Transportation Department, so they know who will be on the bus that day. Unfortunately, there is no changing your mind. If she says "no", the bus driver will not let her on the bus. Your child will automatically be noted as a "no" if she is sick and does not attend school that day. They ride bus #TBD to get to the YMCA.

If you have any questions, please email me at lmelendez@lewispalmer.org
