Citizens in Our School - Connecting Our Community

A new community partnership program will be launching soon in D38!

The initiative is called "Citizens in Our Schools," and it aims to grow relationships in our community and give residents firsthand experience in our schools. A variety of volunteer opportunities to work with students and staff will be available.

Participants will be able to seek out volunteer opportunities that match their interests, while experiencing our schools and connecting with students and staff. They will also receive a "Citizens in Our Schools" t-shirt to proudly show their support of D38.

Special perks will also be offered to participants 65 and older, including a "Star Card" that allows for free entry to athletic and performing arts events. Plans include hosting special events like "Senior Soup & Salad," during which participants can engage with students and staff to learn more about D38.

Stay tuned, as the "Citizens in Our Schools" program will be launching this fall.
