Mrs. Wendey Rhoades
Welcome families! "Let us put our minds together and see what life we can make for our children" -Sitting Bull, Lakota Sioux, 1877.
Here is a little bit about me. In the spring of 2010, I received my 10 year service award for teaching with the Lewis-Palmer School District. Prior to joining LP, I taught in Boulder. Through the spring of 2016 I taught second grade. In the fall of 2016, I joined the fourth grade team. I graduated with three degrees from CU Boulder and a Masters degree from WGU. I have my teaching license and I love teaching. Literacy and STEM instruction are passions of mine. I believe that students need to love learning and to be able think critically. Both of my children go to school in District 38 (Bear Creek, and Lewis-Palmer High School). When I am not teaching, I am rooting for my boys at their sporting events (basketball and baseball), hanging out with my family, or skiing. The best way to get in touch with me is through email. Please realize that I only check my emails before school, during specials, occasionally at lunch, and after school. If you need to reach me about a change of student pick up after school, please call the school office.
