Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Peggy Parsley
It is my pleasure to be the principal of Bear Creek. I had called Grace Best home since the 2007 school year. I received my teaching credentials from Indiana University, my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University, and my administrative degree from University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. My teaching career began in Valparaiso, Indiana. I taught six years overseas in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia before coming to the Lewis-Palmer School District in the fall of 1996. After eighteen years of teaching experience in grades kindergarten through fifth, I am enjoying being an elementary school principal.
Although we value academic achievement at Bear Creek, we also place high value on educating the whole child which includes the arts as well as taking children from where they are to their highest potential. This journey may include remediation or acceleration depending on the needs of the individual. We are committed to working in partnership with our parents and community in order to provide the best comprehensive educational experience for our students as young people do not learn only in school. Their surroundings and the times in which they live have as much influence on them as teachers. Welcome to our school and the Bear Creek family!
