Math Teacher
My name is Melissa Kavanaugh. I am very excited to be teaching at Lewis-Palmer High School. I have taught math for 10+ years. Teaching is not a job for me, but a passion. I like my subject matter, but the best part of being a teacher is the students. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, a Master's degree in multicultural education, and I have a Master's degree in Educational Psychology. I have lived most of my life in New Jersey. Before taking off for a few years to be home with my children, I taught in Philadelphia and in Northern Virginia. I have four boys. All four boys have attended schools in district 38. I love being part of district 38.
