  • Why should you apply for Free & Reduced Lunch?

We hope your school year has started off well! We wanted to reach out one more time to express the importance of the Free and Reduced Lunch program and encourage any families whose income qualifies to apply. This program is truly about more than meals, and I've attached a graphic to help represent all the benefits to your family.

    As a reminder:
    • If you believe your situation qualifies for free and reduced lunch, please apply for that option by filling out the form here: https://www.lewispalmer.org/Page/4285. It’s important that our families take advantage of this opportunity at all levels.
    • The U.S. Department of Agriculture extended its free lunch program to all of our elementary school students regardless of family income level into the 2021-2022 school year. Please continue to fill out the free and reduced lunch form if you qualify.
Thank you and please reach out to Nutritional Services if you have any questions.

  • Inclement Weather Dismissal

*Please return your Early Dismissal form back to your child's classroom teacher as soon as possible.  We do not have the ability to call all parents, so this information is critical.

*If it is raining or lightning, our dismissal will look a little different as we keep all students inside.

    Walkers/Bike Rider Information

*We would ask parents to please wait outside a few feet from the door to help our visibility if you are picking up a walker/bike rider.

*If you have a kindergartener or first grader who is a walker/bike rider and has an older sibling, please pick up the kinder or first grader on the east side, before coming to the front to pick up the sibling.

*We are going to group the students by letter of the alphabet so families stay together.

*We will ask parents their students' last name and we will either find your students.

*We realize some students need to walk/ride home regardless of the weather.  We will be holding them until the lightning passes.

**We are unable to release children to neighbors without your permission.

    Car Line Information

*Whether you pick up your car rider on east or west side, the procedure is the same.  Staff members will walk from car to car, asking for your last name, and then they will walkie into the school where children are safely waiting.  Your child will be sent out as soon as it is safe.

    BCES YMCA Child Care Information

    Before & After School Care
Children absorb knowledge, skills and values from everything and everyone around them. At the Y, we believe time well spent in a fun, safe and supportive environment before and after school is a primary building block for quality of life and future success of children. Children feel connected at the Y where they can make friends and learn how to be their best with the Y’s values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We promote positive self-esteem, life skills, teamwork, leadership, creativity, and educational support.

  • Lewis-Palmer D38 Teacher Wish Lists
Looking for an easy way to do something for our fantastic D38 staff? Check out our teacher wishlists at https://www.facebook.com/D38CleartheList/. Many of our teachers have made wishlists on Amazon - all you have to do is find their list on the Facebook page and make a purchase. Please send your package to their school, and include the teacher or department name in the address. So far the response has been fantastic and our teachers truly appreciate everything we do for them. If you do not see your favorite teacher's list, ask them to make one and then send the link to the Facebook page. Happy shopping!
