What is Emergenetics?
Emergenetics is a tool that provides insight into who we are as individuals. This tool is built on four thinking attributes and three behavioral attributes each individual displays. "The Emergenetics Profile is designed from a psychometric foundation to give each of us an in-depth knowledge of our unique make-up, and provides an understanding of the person that we are." Emergenetics was developed by Dr. Geil Browning and Dr. Wendell Williams, based on research "proven to reliably capture the major thinking and behavioral preferences people commonly use."
STEP (student/teacher Emergenetics program) is used in schools and classrooms to help transform the educational experience for students. Teachers use student's profiles to better understand how each individual thinks, behaves, and learns in the classroom. By learning what motivates each brain to learn, teachers can better understand what inspires students. "Teachers use this insight to create energized classroom activities that make learning more productive, fun and sustainable."
