Mr. Brad Williams
I am excited to be teaching at Lewis-Palmer Middle School (LPMS) and can’t wait to share this school year with the new 8th grade students. Whether students naturally enjoy math or would rather be anywhere else, everyone can develop strong mathematical skills that will benefit them throughout life. Math is much more than a study of numbers. It allows us to understand and effectively interact with the world. It develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strengthens our creativity and abstract thinking, and sharpens our minds which we can then apply to problems in our daily lives.
I am recently retired from the military after spending nearly 25 years with the Air Force. I spent the majority of my time in communications and cyberspace related jobs to include operating the worldwide radio support system, overseeing the Department of Defense global air-to-ground command and control systems supporting the President, national leaders, and Combatant Commanders, and I was the senior communications officer for the 9th Air Expeditionary Task Force at Kabul, Afghanistan during one of my deployments. However, my last assignment allowed me to teach chemistry at the United States Air Force Academy. During this time, I found my love for teaching and look forward to a wonderful year at LPMS.
