Welcome to fifth grade! My name is Lisa Psomas, and I am thrilled to be teaching at Lewis-Palmer Elementary School.
Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I received a Bachelor of Science in Child Development from the University of La Verne in Southern California. Then my husband, Chris, and I moved to Colorado, where I began my teaching career in 2007. I started teaching first grade, then I looped up to second. In 2010, I earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. For the past several years, I have been teaching fifth grade, which is my favorite.
I absolutely love living in Colorado! My husband and I have a son, Grant, who keeps us very busy. We enjoy the outdoors, and doing activities together as a family. Working in the community in which I live is very important to me, as I like participating in local events and interacting with my students and their families around town.
It is my goal to inspire my students to love learning, by making it interactive and fun! I strongly believe in working as partners with parents and students to make fifth grade a successful and memorable year! The best way to reach me is via email. I will do my best to respond by the next business day.
