Art appeals to the visual sense to create amazing pieces through a wide range of artistic ability. Not only do we create works of art within the classroom, but we are also here to promote creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills that students can carry on throughout the rest of their lives. Art teaches students how to think outside the box and helps exercise brain function. These are the ideas that I want to incorporate within my art classes this year and learn more about each student through their art because I believe that every student expresses their own personality through their artwork.
The 2020-2021 school year will be my fourth year being a part of the Palmer Ridge family. I grew up in the Monument area and graduated from Lewis-Palmer High School. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Studio and Digital art with a Teaching Licensure at Liberty University where I also played Division I Field Hockey all 4 years. I also have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governors University. This is also my fifth year as a coach for the Palmer Ridge field hockey team and second year as the head coach.
