This is my tenth year teaching, but my first year here at LPES. Last year I was at Bear Creek Elementary, in fifth grade. Prior to life in Colorado I taught in Florida and Virginia (in grades 1-5). Colorado is definitely where I call home and I am glad to be starting my second year here in D38! I live here in Monument and have my family close by as well.  I have a two year old Australian Shepherd, named Mesa. She is named after the Grand Mesa in Grand Junction, where I spent tons of time as a kid. A personal goal for me this year is to start my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with cognates in Math/Science.

I love teaching math and making it fun! Believe me when I tell you I HATED math as a student because it was so hard for me, but I absolutely LOVE to teach it! Being able to share my struggles and successes with math helps not only teach my students but connect to them!

I am so excited to work and learn with you and your families this year. If you have any questions please contact me via email at cmaddox@lewispalmer.org

This is going to be a MARVELous Year!
