Mrs. Andrea Weidmann

Welcome to 8th grade and Team 8 Blue at Lewis-Palmer Middle School!

Language Arts is going to be a whirlwind of a ride this year.  We will focus on developing a love for all things reading and writing.  If you ever have any questions about the course or school in general, please do not hesitate to contact me.

About Me (a.k.a. the boring stuff):

I was born and raised in the foothills of Colorado, just south of Denver in a rather large city known as Littleton.  After attending Colorado State University for my freshman year of college, I accepted a camp counselor position in Oxford, Maine for the summer.  While teaching middle aged children how to rock climb and master their fears on challenge courses, I discovered my passion and calling for educating children.  When I returned to C.S.U. in the fall, I quickly changed my major and focused on education and literature coursework.

Upon graduation from Colorado State University, I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where I was fortunate enough to land a long-term teaching job at a local middle school.  While teaching 8th grade Language Arts in Oklahoma, I was honored to serve as department facilitator and acquired hundreds of hours of continued professional development.  Now, five years later, my husband, two dogs, and future child returned home to Colorado to settle some long-term roots in the state we truly identify as home.

I am incredibly excited to teach the students of Team 8 Blue at Lewis-Palmer Middle School this year and look forward to meeting all of you!
