After Prom is a well planned, supervised event designed to provide an alternate to kids using alcohol and drugs and then driving. The LPHS After Prom is offered as an alternative to private parties or merely driving around on the highways in the middle of the night. It is also open to those students who do not or cannot attend the actual prom, for any number of reasons.
In 2018, over 100 community volunteers helped with ticket sales, fundraising, decorating, food, games, and clean up in order to make this event a success. We hosted over 400 students at the event, and there were no accidents or negative incidents, a situation we hope to repeat in 2019.
Your support will help in many ways. As we did last year, we will offer free admission to 20 students (determined by the high school administration) who otherwise would not be able to afford to attend.
The theme for our event this year is “Wild Wild West" We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of the activities, food, and decorations. All donations are tax-deductible, and donors will receive a letter from the school district confirming the donation. Additionally, donors are recognized via email push to parents of students at LPHS (over 1600 people). Donors also receive recognition in the local newspaper.

We have a very fun group of talented volunteers. No drama, and very few meetings!! This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and make a direct impact on our students by keeping them safe and entertained after the Prom. Please join our team - there are lots of opportunities to help out!
MANDATORY VOLUNTEER FORM:
