Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Angelena Stone
Hello! Welcome to sixth-grade math! I am excited to begin our new adventure this year!
My family and I moved to Colorado from the beaches of Wilmington, North Carolina. We are just now getting used to all of the snow! We have family here and enjoy many outdoor activities. My husband, David and I have a son, Tyler and a chihuahua/rat terrier mix named Shiloh. I enjoy traveling, hiking, four‐wheeling, shopping, singing, acting, and reading children’s books.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in math. With 20 plus years in the classroom, I have served as a Behavior Intervention Specialist as well as taught second, third, fourth and sixth grade math. I love teaching math and will continue to support student growth by providing personalized learning experiences designed to enhance math skills.
Teaching is my passion, and children are at the center of everything I do. I believe relationships and open communication between students, parents, and staff are essential to the growth and academic success of each child. I strive to develop a family‐like atmosphere in the classroom where children feel safe and confident to spread their wings and soar to new heights in their learning. I consider it a great privilege to be your teacher this year and look forward to our journey together.
