First rehearsal of 2018-2019 is Thursday, September 13th.
The LPES Eagle Choir is a non-audition ensemble and welcomes all students in grades 4, 5 and 6. Eagle Choir rehearses every Thursday during the school year from 8:00-8:45am in the south mini-theater of the school. Performances take place both inside and outside of the school day.
The Eagle Choir is an opportunity for students to use their voices in a pedagogically sound manner while fostering appreciation for a healthy vocal repertoire. Music is selected to represent various genres including historical folk pieces from around the world. Eagle Choir builds independent harmony singing through unison parts, round singing, partner songs and two-part publications. Music literacy is encouraged in the Eagle Choir as many students begin to evolve from rote to note!
The Eagle Choir is invited to sing Christmas carols at the North Pole Craft Fair on December 1st. We will begin strolling with our caroling books from 10-10:30 AM. The North Pole Craft Fair is at the Grace Best Education Center on Jefferson Street (across from St. Peters) and is organized by the Monument Hill Kiwanis. Admission is requested to be a donation of a non-perishable food item for Tri-Lakes Cares.
