Hello and welcome to the Green Panthers website! Here you will find our meeting calendar, important community and web resource links, and any information on upcoming meetings. We are dedicated to learning about protecting our environment through reducing, recycling and reusing trash items as well as energy and water conservation. These topics are explored by the members at our meetings by doing fun activities, hands-on experiments, games, and trivia. The resulting ideas and good habits are then passed along to classmates, PLES parents and the Palmer Lake Community throughout the entire school year.
Beginning in the 2019-2020 school year, we will be focusing on water. Along with Tri Lakes Women's Club, we will learn about xeric landscaping as we work on our new outdoor classroom by the greenhouse. We will be exploring water use and conservation in our community and beyond.
We will once again work as ambassadors for the Crayola Marker recycling program.
I look forward to seeing you on Sept. 17 for our first meeting!

Tri-Lakes Disposal is our new recycling contractor. The recycling bin is now limited to school use and is not open to the public. Tri-Lakes collects single stream recycling of a variety of materials: glass bottles and jars, steel and aluminum cans (not crushed), plastic containers (rinsed), cardboard and all paper (NOT shredded).
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED: plastic bags (they damage sorting equipment), plastic plates, pizza boxes, electronics, styrofoam, batteries, wood, bulk metal, furniture, and clothing.
Please visit the Tri-Lakes Disposal website for more information.
Green Panthers meet the third Tuesday of each month in the Mini Theater at 8:00 a.m. In the case of delayed start or snow days there will be no meeting.
