Mrs. Robinette is excited to complete her 33rd year of teaching. She has taught all grades preschool through 8th grade. Her love of students all ages has given her many joys for numerous years. Mrs. Robinette achieved National Board Teacher Certification November, 2007 and renewed in 2016. This certification is the highest level of certificate that a teacher earns. She is one of only 1,003 teachers in the state of Colorado with this certificate. She also was nominated for Colorado Teacher of the Year in the 2009. This spring and summer has been an exciting time for Mrs. Robinette as she was awarded Colorado Education Association's Excellence in Education Award. This honors educators making a difference in the educational profession. She also won the Alpha Delta Kappa's Excellence in Education Award for the state of Colorado and then won at the regional level in Alaska. This award honors Mrs. Robinette's contributions to her profession too. She has been a classroom teacher, teacher facilitator, staff development coach, reading specialist, district trainer and mentor, and specialized teacher of gifted students for many years. This year has brought exciting changes for Mrs. Robinette's work with educators from around the region. With the award of a huge grant, she is building the Pikes Peak Center for Teaching, Learning, and Public Education and has been named the Executive Director. Mrs. Robinette takes pride in the daily pleasure of observing student successes and sharing the love of learning with all. I am excited to teach 2nd graders and excited to see my Puppeteers dream and imagine brilliant things!
