Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Laura Berg
I really enjoy being a part of Palmer Lake Elementary. This is my 6th year at PLES. When I began teaching at PLES, I was a Reading Interventionist, now I enjoy being a 1st Grade teacher.
I am a Colorado native who moved frequently as a military kid. I earned my teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and recently completed my masters degree from Colorado College. I worked for 9 years in Harrison District at Stratmoor Hills Elementary, first as a 3rd grade teacher, and then as a Kindergarten teacher. I temporarily left teaching to be home with my children. While my children were young I taught preschool.
Working with children is what I love to do. I believe that all children are to be treasured and nurtured so they can grow confidently to reach their unique, and unlimited, potential.
I am married with 2 young adult children. My daughter graduated from Iowa State University and is now studying to be a Registered Dietitian. My son is a sophomore at Colorado State University in Mechanical Engineering. My hobbies include hiking and reading as much as possible!
