From Principal Drew Francis
Dear Community,
It is an honor to be writing to you as the Principal of Ray E. Kilmer Elementary School. I appreciate how welcomed I have felt by students, parents, staff, and the Lewis-Palmer leadership team.
I have been in education for over 20 years and have spent the last 10 years in Colorado in school leadership. My educational background has been in the classroom as a teacher, Adjunct Professor for the University of Chicago, Educational Consultant, and Elementary School Principal.
I am very fortunate to be in a position of doing ‘work’ that does not feel like work. I believe education is one of my callings in life, and I enjoy nearly all aspects of what the day and the life of a principal brings. My decision making is always based on what is best for children. I also believe my job as principal can be put into three priorities:- Get the right people in the right positions
- Build relationships with all people both big and small
- Put structures in place for students and staff at Kilmer Elementary to be successful
I look forward to partnering with you to continue to make Kilmer Elementary an amazing place for you to bring your children.
Sincerely,
Drew Francis, Principal
