Principal's Message

  • Dear LPES community,

Welcome to Lewis-Palmer Elementary School! What I continuously hear emphasized by our teachers and our parents is that this is a special place and a strong sense of community is what defines us. What a marvelous place for children to learn and achieve and grow!

We take care of one another in this community and this allows us to flourish. I have worked as teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal in Lewis-Palmer schools since 2001. My husband and I have lived in the area for over twenty years and our own children have been fortunate to attend LP schools. As parent, resident, and employee, I understand the honor it is to lead a Lewis-Palmer school.

Here at LPES we emphasize excellence in instruction. We teach with fidelity to Colorado Academic Standards. We emphasize respectful behavior for our students through our SOAR program. We take care of the “whole child” and we have excellent art, music, PE, and 21st century classes. Our library is the center, or “heart”, of our building, and we have wonderful outdoor facilities. Our parents provide an enormous amount of support and this helps our community flourish. Our teachers are dedicated to learning and take good care of our students.

Please feel free to stop by and if I’m available, I will always make time for you. Email is another good way of contacting me. My address is

I invite you to partner with us to continue our tradition of excellence.

    Best regards,
