Mr. Tom Chapman

Mr. Tom Chapman is in his 13th year of teaching and his 11th in the Lewis-Palmer School District where he directs the band program and teaches popular music courses at Lewis-Palmer High School. In the past, he has taught beginning band and assisted with secondary level band ensembles in six of the eight schools in the district. While in LPSD Mr. Chapman has taken the LPSD 6th Grade Festival Band to perform at the Colorado Music Educators Association Clinic and Conference in January, 2015 (the first beginning ensemble to be invited in over 20 years) and was awarded the Phi Beta Mu Kappa Chapter Outstanding Young Bandmaster Award in 2016. In January, 2018, Mr. Chapman performed at CMEA again with his LPSD High School Chamber Ensembles (one of the first ensembles of its kind to be featured at the convention). 

Mr. Chapman earned his Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado and his Masters of Music Education at the University of Colorado Boulder. When not teaching, Mr. Chapman enjoys performing around the Pikes Peak Region and spending time with his wife, Jen, two dogs, Penny-Lane, Watson, and small army of chickens, ducks, and geese.
