Mrs. Wendey Rhoades
Welcome families! "Let us put our minds together and see what life we can make for our children" ~Sitting Bull, Lakota Sioux, 1877.
Here is a little bit about me. In the spring of 2010, I received my 10 year service award for teaching with the Lewis-Palmer School District. Prior to joining LP, I taught in Boulder. Through the spring of 2016 I taught second grade. In the fall of 2016, I joined the fourth grade team. I graduated with three degrees from CU Boulder and a Masters degree from WGU. I have my teaching license and I love teaching. Literacy and STEM instruction are passions of mine. I believe that students need to love learning and to be able think critically. Both of my children go to school in District 38 (Bear Creek, and Lewis-Palmer High School). When I am not teaching, I am rooting for my boys at their sporting events (basketball and baseball), hanging out with my family, or skiing. The best way to get in touch with me is through email: wrhoades@lewispalmer.org. Please realize that I only check my emails before school, during specials, occasionally at lunch, and after school. If you need to reach me about a change of student pick up after school, please call the school office: 719-488-4770.
