Library Media and Technology
It's library time! It's library time! We start classes in the library this week! We're so excited to work with the kids! Libraries are such important places to learn to explore curiosities, research, create and share things we learn! We will working on mindset, kindness, exploration, and collaboration in here this year too! In library, we work on learning about good choices to fit our interests and levels as readers. We also extend the content in the classroom into areas of academic choice.

Over the last nine years, I have been proud to call Lewis-Palmer “Home.” Upon entering the district, I have been amazed at the level of instruction and support provided by the teachers and parents of this district! It is also incredible to see care given to each child, teacher, and administrator. The fact that we are all a family truly sets us apart and makes this the best place to work and learn!
Before coming to Lewis-Palmer, I moved from Memphis, Tennessee to attend the University of Northern Colorado, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. In order to pursue a career in education, I went to Colorado College for my Master of Arts in Elementary Education. An internship in Academy School District 20, led me to a job as a fourth grade teacher here in Lewis-Palmer. Over the last nine years, I have worn many hats as an educator. Not only have I taught fourth grade, but I have experience with second, third, and fifth grade as well. Several years ago, I also tried on the hat as an Instructional Coach, where I got to support teachers and see, first-hand, the amazing things that other teachers are doing in their classroom. Though supporting teachers brought me great joy and fulfillment, the classroom called me back! I enjoy the challenge that I am faced with everyday to meet each child’s educational and emotional needs, creating well-rounded citizens of our community.
I started my career here and will continue to call LP “Home” for years to come, so that my son can someday have the privilege of getting such a great education.
