Summer Food Service Programs
Nutritious free meals are available for children and teens 18 and younger at many locations around the nation throughout the summer while school is out of session. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) ensures that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. This summer, USDA plans to serve more than 200 million free meals to children 18 years and under at approved SFSP sites.
There are many sites available in schools, but they are also at community-based sites like libraries and recreation centers where kids can have a healthy meal in a safe and fun environment.
Families can find nearby sites by: texting "food" or "comida" to 877-877, visiting http://kidsfoodfinder.org/,calling (866) 348-6479 or use the links below to help you find free summer meal sites for children.
