State DECA Conference Details
The State DECA Conference will be held February 21-23 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. The State DECA Conference is a unique opportunity for students to match their knowledge and abilities against the best students in Colorado. It will also be a tremendous learning experience and leadership development activity. Approximately 48 students from Lewis-Palmer High School will be attending this year’s State DECA Conference.
The Conference costs are as follows:
- Registration fee: $120 Registration includes two meals and conference expenses.
- Lodging: $120 ($60 per night for 2 nights) Students are required to stay at the Broadmoor during the conference.
This year, a portion of the costs of the State Conference are being covered by LPHS DECA (reflected in amounts above). Also, many students have funds available from commissions earned through our Sales Project fundraiser to cover a portion of their conference expenses. The approximate total amount that students will be responsible to pay in order to attend is $240, minus any remaining fundraising money earned.
Students must complete the permission and medical release form on the Resources page under Documents, along with the DECA Medical Release form and return them to Mr. Diamond, the DECA Advisor by Wednesday, January 6. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school (867-8092) or cell (648-5655) or email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Mr. Diamond is creating a slide show of students at this year's DECA events that will be shown in study halls to encourage freshmen and sophomore students to enroll in Marketing next year. If you have any pictures from Glenwood, Beaver Creek, or Districts that you would like to include in the slide show, please send them to Mr Diamond at email@example.com.
