Green Panthers

  • This is my first year teaching Green Panthers.  I have a BS in Environmental Sciences and a Masters in Foresty.  I love being a part of nature and doing my best to preserve it for future generations.  My hobbies include organic gardening, hiking, and spending as much time outside as possible.

  • First Greenhouse Harvest

The students harvested the first organic vegetables from the PLES greenhouse during the week of Sept.7, 2017. It consisted of beets and kale. The PLES nutritional services staff prepared and served them at lunch. The role of the greenhouse is to encourage healthy diet choices by having the children raise organic vegetables from seed to plate.  We planted carrots, cabbage, and yarrow for future harvest.
