Pre-Calculus

  • Pre-Calculus is a course that provides unity to the courses already taken as well as a sound preparation for further work in math. In addition to the refinement of the manipulative skills, attention is given to understanding the concepts and theory behind the skills. The topics covered include: inverse trig functions, trig equations and identities, polar curves, parametric equations, sequences and series, vector analysis, complex numbers, exponents and logarithms, analytic geometry and matrices, limits, probability and statistics. The use of a TI-83/84/89 graphing calculator is required. Students must register for both A and B courses.
