Weather Delays and Closures
HSEA operates on the same schedule as District 38 in cases of weather delays and closures. District delays are two hour delays. Classes would begin at 10:20 a.m. for HSEA in the event of a weather-related delay.
The Lewis-Palmer website posts delay and closure information at approximately 5:00 a.m. If status changes from a delay to a closure, that call is typically made by 7:30 a.m.
District 38 does not maintain Adams Street. The City of Monument is in charge of snow removal. If Adams Street is impassable, and HSEA has classes, we will use the west entrance on Jefferson Street. The condition of the road will be determined by 7:00 a.m. and an email will go out at that time.
