21st century learning in our classroom involves helping each child communicate, collaborate, and exercise creativity and critical thinking while connecting them with their world in ways that are personally meaningful and relevant.
Students need to be prepared to meet the challenges they will face in college and/or their careers after graduating from high school. This can mean everything from being able to compete in an increasingly globalized society to having the ability to use technology effectively and efficiently. It is not enough to master academics. Students also need to be able to solve problems and become creative thinkers. They need to be able to work well with others. These skills are necessary in our rapidly changing world and will last a lifetime.
