Honors Biology

  • Honors Biology is a course in the study of life science in an environment of increased academic rigor. Major areas of study will include ecology, biochemistry, cell physiology, genetics, botany and evolution. Other topics may include human anatomy and physiology. The emphasis of the class will be student inquiry and practical (lab) work. This includes experimental design and statistical analysis. The class is designed to challenge the student across the curriculum and strong work ethic is required to excel in this class. The course is also intended to present the global aspects of biology. Additional time outside of class will be required to complete research and other required activities.
