Mrs. Annette Palmer

I was born in and grew up in Colorado and attended college at Nebraska Wesleyan University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education. I then attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and earned a Master’s degree in Special Education—Gifted, Talented and Creative Students. I hold Colorado Teaching Certifications in both Gifted Education grades Pre-K-12 and in English/Language Arts grades 7-12.

The 2022-2023 school year is my 28th year in teaching--I have spent four of those years in Language Arts and this will be my 24th year in Gifted Education; this is my 19th year in Lewis Palmer schools. I have been married for twenty-seven years and have two young adult children, both of whom were involved in Gifted Education programs during their K-12 years.  One of my sons is working in the Denver area and the other is a second-year student at the Academy for the Dramatic Arts theater conservatory in New York City.

I believe that all students are entitled to learn something new every day and that students deserve challenging, legitimate work. I hope to help students develop into lifelong learners who value learning and education.

Please feel free to contact me via phone at 719-867-8256 or email apalmer@lewispalmer.org at any time with questions about your student, my classroom, the Gifted Education Program, etc.
