K-Kids is a student-led, service-based organization for elementary school students. It is sponsored by the Monument Hill Kiwanis Club; our Kiwanis Advisor is Paul Short and our faculty advisor is Becky Moulden. K-Kids is the largest service program in the nation for elementary aged children. It develops leadership skills and community activism within young people. At our school, membership is from the 4th through 6th grades, with the officer positions being held by 6th-grade members. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month during the school year. Students interested in joining should contact Mrs. Moulden.
WARMING CLOTHING AND GENTLY USED BOOK DRIVE -- NOVEMBER 30 - JANUARY 20
We are sponsoring our annual Warm Clothing and Gently Used Book Drive. This is the perfect way to repurpose items that we have outgrown or no longer need. We will have donation boxes in the cafeteria to collect warm winter clothing items like coats, hats, gloves, boots, and scarves. Items should be gently used, clean, and in good repair. We are also collecting children's books of all kinds that are gently used. Collected items will benefit local families who are less fortunate.
